La Hacienda, Oil painting by Clina Polloni. This beautiful old adobe house is located in the central part of Chile, in Pirque. Here is were most of the vineyards started with grapes that were brought from Europe by immigrants. The original house of the Viņa Concha y Toro is very close. I did this painting from an old painting done by my great-grandfather in 1912. He used to paint on a peaceful summer afternoon after a delightful lunch in the company of the hostess, Carmela Subercaseaux Vicuņa and her family.
