Alberto Polloni - Arts by Us

I was born and raised in Chile . Initially, I studied architecture and pursued my undergraduate B.A. degree in the field of Furniture & Interior Design from the University of Chile . After graduation, I formed a commercial interior design company in Santiago, Chile, with three fellow students. Bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, I then founded Muebles Dhomo, a contemporary furniture design and manufacturing company five years later.

I sold my interests in the businesses to move to Italy so I could study corporate identity design at the Universita Internazionale Del ’ Arte Di Firenze. In 1988, I relocated to the United States to work for a Raleigh based architectural company and I fell in love with the area. It wasn’t long before I formed Polloni Design, Inc., currently a successful corporate graphic design and website development company. Also noteworthy, I became a proud US citizen in 1993.

I’m bilingual in both English and Spanish and also fluent in Italian and French. One of my first loves is art and I enjoy painting with watercolors and life-drawing in pencil – I’m currently adding oil-painting to my repertoire. I love traveling and outdoor sports like mountain bike and snow skiing.
